Rock Bay Camps are located approximately three miles south of the town of Tupper Lake, off Route 30 on Charlands Road. We feature a beautiful lakefront area with great swimming, large dock, Bar-B-Q and bonfire pit. (Our docks have space for approximately two boats). The beach area is wonderful, especially for small children, with a gradual walk into the lake, with plenty of sand to make mud pies. There is also an area for older children where they can swim in deeper water and fish off the dock. In the evening you can enjoy beautiful sunsets as the sun touches down directly across the lake from us. The evenings can be spent with family and friends around an open fire under the star filled northern sky.

Presently we have two houses for rent on Tupper Lake. One house is a summer only house which sleeps ten (10) people maximum (eleven with a crib), and is located on the lake’s edge. It is an old, comfortable "Adirondack Camp" which has a great big enclosed porch off the front. The camp has a large living room, dining room, newer kitchen with microwave, plus five bedrooms upstairs. There is a deck off the kitchen and living room which is popular to eat out weather permitting. Our renters love the outside eating area!! One bedroom upstairs used to be a porch and young children love waking up overlooking the lake through floor to ceiling windows.

The second home is a year round house which sleeps six (6) people maximum. This rental unit is the bottom floor of a three story home. The top two floors are reserved for the owners when they want to escape from city life. This house is available for year round rentals since it is insulated and heated. There are two bedrooms (one with a queen size bed and the other with two bunk beds), a bathroom with shower stall, living room, and combined kitchen/dining room area. The house has a large deck with barbecue grill out front overlooking the lake. The house has electric heat and a fireplace. There is a fully equipped kitchen with microwave. This house is available to rent on a weekly, nightly or weekend basis during the fall through spring months.

For both houses we supply blankets, pillows and kitchen towels. Renters need to bring linens for the beds, hand towels, bath towels and face cloths. We’re sorry but we have a policy of no pets, no exceptions. Each house has a fully equipped kitchen and barbecue grill. There is a telephone for local calls only; long distance requires a calling card.

Televisions are provided but no cable, reception isn’t very good in the mountains.  TV's are VCR and DVD capable with a number of VHS movies available. Rentals are weekly only in the summer months and run Saturday to Saturday.  Off-season rentals are available with a 2 night minimum stay. Check-in during the summer rental season is anytime after 2:30 p.m. Check-out is anytime before 10:00 a.m.

Approximately half mile from our property is a State run public boat launch. Boat rentals are available from numerous rental companies on the lake.  All fishing and boating needs can be found nearby.

The houses are located 1 ½ miles from an 18 hole public golf course. There is great hiking weather permitting. Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid are about 45 minutes drive from the houses. There is a lot to do in Tupper Lake and the surrounding areas. Tupper Lake is a peaceful lake with very little motor traffic.
