Nestled into the dark green pine forest of the Adirondacks and on the shores of the sparkling Blue Mountain Lake is Hemlock Hall, a perfect family retreat that feels millions of miles from the rigors of daily life. The rustic main house, built in 1890, charms with cedar and pine-paneled common rooms, a massive granite fireplace that opens into three rooms, and a large wooden table flanked by rustic twig chairs. Our wrap around porch offers a view of the surrounding lake and woods in all their glory. Fourteen cottages with one to several bedrooms, and fireplaces. Boats, canoes, sunfish, paddle boats, kayaks, diving float, private beach, social quarters lodge, library, rec. room, & fenced playground.

Prospect Point Cottages is nestled on the shores of Blue Mountain Lake, a crown jewel of the magnificent Adirondack Park, with a view of the lake and mountains you won't ever forget. All of our cottages boast large picture windows and porches overlooking the lake. All have fully equipped kitchens (refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, utensils, etc.), linens, bath towels, outdoor barbecue grills, TV, phones -- everything you need! There is never a charge to enjoy local calls, Cable TV, or high-speed wireless Internet. Most cottages have been completely renovated and feature cathedral ceilings and skylights; some have fireplaces and are wheelchair friendly. Prospect Point is right on the water -- no need to cross any highways to reach our beautiful 150 foot private sandy beach. Rising from the beach, our broad hillside lawn is perfect for lying in the sun, having a picnic, or playing a game of ball, horseshoes or badminton. You can bring your own boat or rent one from the livery or outfitters a short walk up the road. (We do have rowboats and canoes guests are welcome to use.) In Winter, enjoy spectacular remote cross-country skiing, or free downhill skiing, sleigh riding or skating at the nearby Indian Lake ski-slope. And we're only a half-hour's drive from Gore Mountain, one of the great downhill runs of the East Coast. All our winter units have fireplaces and are oil heated and warm. Relax by a crackling fire in the rustic charm of our Community Room/Library and Conference Center, or tickle the ivories on our vintage 19th-century piano. Hike through breathtaking forest trails, canoe, kayak or sail past islands of birch and cedar, swim our crystal clear glacier carved lake, enjoy a family barbecue or an evening round the bonfire . . . Come to Prospect Point, and rediscover Living! Weekly rentals only in the Summer.
2 night minimum in the Spring and Winter, 3 night minimum in the Fall.
